The guy that sold me this bike said he’d give me a stock carburetor if he ever found the extra he has. I haven’t seen it and I haven’t heard from him since. These are surprisingly hard to find. No scooter shop carries an 18mm carb except for Casa Lambretta in Denver which are rebuilt originals from the ‘60s. I’m sure they are great quality, but I don’t really want to blow $150 on one. Every other shop has 22mm at the smallest. The bigger carbs are after market and are intended for tuned engines or a 200cc engine. I have to watch on Ebay for what I need: it’s a Del Lorto SH1/18 stock carb. I can see one now in Ebay Italy, but it will be $23 to ship it. I would buy that one, but another one just popped up in the states that is only $8 to ship. It ends in 6 days, but that will be the last thing I need to get this thing going.
I had already bought a used gas tank from a guy in Uruguay. I am ashamed to admit how much it cost to ship (I think he gouged the price because I didn’t ask him before I bid). But even then I am coming out at least $20 better than buying from a shop.I will have everything I need for a test run after this gets here. Also, I went ahead and bought a whole headset from a guy in California on Scoot.net. It was a little more than I wanted to spend, but I’m not seeing these things on Ebay at all.

GOT THE CARB–the last puzzle piece. It was 36.00 on Ebay. These days I always wait to bid until the last minute to make sure I get the item (lambretta parts are scarce). I woke up at 8:30 on a saturday to do so.
The only things I have left to get are cosmetic (floorboard, horncast).
